[EDIT AS OF 10.JULY.2009]Since there have been no responses and I have received hints of people who still want to continue the contest, I have extended the deadline to
31.OCTOBER.2009. This is the anniversary release of
ACT I, and it should give everyone enough time to finish their works.
Any further extension would not be considered anymore--the contest would be officially canceled._____GENERAL RULES1) You're all invited to join this contest, whether you're a reader or not. Of course, those who have read
ACT I: Bright Red Dawn have a bit of an advantage. For those who want to gather research on
Feldscher, please visit the
Feldscher Blog.
2) Feldscher Crew Members aren't obliged to join this contest, but they need to vote for the winning entries.
3) Only purely
Feldscher-related elements are allowed. Ladies, this means you can't draw yourself hitting on William Stanley; not even your OC (or you'll end up staring down into the barrel of a shotgun). Let's save that for another time.

But you can always have Jack the Ripper there.
4) Drawings, conceptual pieces, and comic strips are openly accepted.
5) Entries must be uploaded into your deviantART Gallery for easy access and criticism. Outgoing links may also be accepted but should still be linked to deviantART.
6) Previously uploaded works won't be considered for this contest. However, works in progress may be considered as entries. :working:
7) During submission, please provide sufficient credits and links to references. Let's extend courtesy towards our fellow deviants.
8) Once you've submitted your entry, please note me a link so I can include you in the roster of participants.
9) The deadline for all entries is
31.OCTOBER.2009 (+08:00 GMT). Late entries can't be considered. Why?
10) The judging for all entries will be from
1.NOVEMBER.2009 to 14.NOVEMBER.2009. You're all invited to vote even if you didn't join the contest. Crew Members, you're obliged to pass judgement.
11) Only three winners will be selected, an each will receive art of their OC from me. In case of a tie, a tie-breaker round will be held. The winners will be announced on my Journal and the
Feldscher Blog.
12) After deliberations,
all entries will be featured on the
Feldscher Blog, and the top three will be featured on my User Page (on my Webcam) with links to
their pages included.
_____ENTRY RULES1) Strictly no pornographic or sexually suggestive entries are allowed. This includes
yaoi and
yuri. Ehem!
2) Blood and gore are, of course, allowed. But,
please, use these in a sensible manner. This isn't
Saw.
3) Entries must generally fall under the following:
Feldscher (in general)

Crime

Mystery

Humor

Time

Romance

Victorian Life
Exemptions can be made but I trust they'll be sensible, too. I do't wanna see Hugo in a Mohawk dancing the tango.
4) Each person can submit a maximum of three entries.
5) Any form of entry is allowed such as pencil sketch, inks, colors, and CG (as if anyone would do that...).
6) Any medium is allowed such as makers, pencils, and watercolor (as if anyone would do this either...).
7) Chibi and caricatures are openly accepted.
8) Costume changes are welcome but make sure they're sensible. Barbara
may have a nice body (which I don't exactly agree with) but my eyes will bleed if I see her in a bunny suit (ew, how revolting...).
_____VOTING RULES1) Voting will be from
1.NOVEMBER.2009 to 14.NOVEMBER.2009 at the
Feldscher Blog.
2) Anybody can vote, and Crew Members are obliged to do so.
3) The votes are anonymous, and multiple votes are allowed.
_____PRIZES1) Before anything else, I warn that the prizes will be given at indefinite dates. However, I promise that I
will keep my end of the bargain.
2) The prizes are art of the winners' OCs, with a maximum of two characters per person. I'll not draw fan art or fan characters based on established stories.
3) I won't accept pornographic or sexually suggestive requests. No exceptions.4) Prizes will be given in order, and are as follows:
1ST PLACE: Being lucky Number One, you have the choice to receive
one of the following:

colored art (cel-shaded, hair shading for black and dark hair)

traditional art (hair shading, hatching, your chance to torture me...)

combination art (colors + traditional shading, no cel-shading)
manga-style toning (traditional art + toning, not gray cel-shades, dotted screens)
2ND PLACE:
traditional art (hair shading, hatching)
3RD PLACE:
inks (no hair shading, no traditional shading, ideal for OCs with light hair)
5) Prizes will be uploaded into my Gallery and I'll note you the link.

"There are two great tragedies in life: One is not getting what we want, the other is getting it." -Oscar Wilde
"Somtimes a cigar is just a cigar." -Sigmund Frued
Ah, yes, but I wouldn't call it steampunk since it lacks the fantasy and sci-fi element. I'd rather call it historical and true-to-life.
